Newport Beach Firefighters Association, keepingnewportsafe.com. Last updated September 8, 2026.

These terms govern your use of keepingnewportsafe.com (the "site"), published by the Newport Beach Firefighters Association (the "Association"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What this site is

This site presents the Association's analysis of the proposed relocation of Newport Beach Fire Station 3. It is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not legal, medical, engineering, or emergency advice, and it is not a guarantee or prediction of the response to any particular emergency. In an emergency, dial 911.

Accuracy of the analysis

The travel time figures on this site are planning-level estimates produced from publicly available mapping data, the RAND fire response travel-time function, and the turnout times published in NFPA 1710. They are not drawn from Newport Beach Fire Department computer-aided dispatch records. Actual response times vary with traffic, weather, crew and apparatus availability, concurrent incidents, and other conditions outside the scope of this analysis. The methodology and its limitations are described on the site and in the downloadable report.

We work to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free, or up to date, and we may change or correct its content at any time.

Comments you submit

If you submit the comment form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and is your own, and that your comment is yours to share. Do not submit unlawful, threatening, harassing, or deliberately false content, and do not submit another person's information without their permission.

You grant the Association permission to share your comment, name, and street address with the Newport Beach City Council in connection with the Fire Station 3 relocation. Comments forwarded to the City Council may become part of the public record under the California Public Records Act and the Ralph M. Brown Act. Please do not include anything in your comment that you would not want to appear publicly. We may decline to forward submissions that appear to be spam, automated, duplicated, or abusive.
